Is plastic the most harmful material to our environment? In one circumstance, it is, and in another, it could be the best option possible. The goal of this course is to educate students about the Life Cycle Assessment of materials and guide them through the process of making environmentally cautious decisions when creating art or design. Moreover, the information attempts to familiarise students with different material categories (Textiles and Biotextiles, Wood and Plastic, Biodesign and Mycelium, Concrete, Bioconcrete & Brick) and their environmentally cautious alternatives. Each section also includes questions to motivate readers to think about the topics and understand them.
